Westover Hills Assembly of God is one church with one vision: Making New, Making Great. Making New refers to the new life that comes with a decision to follow Christ. Making Great refers to the great life we experience when we love and serve God. Westover Hills Assembly of God wants every person to experience both.

In 1986, Jim and Denise Rion founded our church in a small rented space with just a few people attending the first service. When it came time to search for a place to build, Pastor Jim felt led to an undeveloped and unknown area of San Antonio called Westover Hills. God only knew it would become one of the fastest growing areas in the nation.
